so here is our fourth assignment given by Chris Payne. The idea was to get across a conversation between two people who can only be shown from the sternum up. I learned a lot on this piece about little things to help the story, and really experimented with the technique. I jumped in with pen and ink drawing, did a little pencil rendering, dropped on some acrylic washes, came in with colored pencil, more acrylic, then guache, then colored pencil, then oil washes and lifted out with eraser, then some more colored pencil and acrylic glazing, and some acrylic dry brush to finish it off.

below that is a second go at the bee keeper, done a little looser, darker, and over all more fun to me.
