every hair on the dog

We just finished up our fourth assignment for media. havent played with acrylic paint too much but I think I did alright with this. I hated it at first, and rushed the hell out of it thursday night so I could get up to Ocala on friday, worked on it a little sunday night, and tightened it up monday night. We just finished our critique and that went pretty good. I think im going to fix up the left side of his face, it seems really flat to me, then ill repost.

lido plein air

Wednesday morning Stanley, Lake, and I woke up early, and headed out to the beach for some plein air painting. The moring was hot and humid, but we didnt mind as we have been stuck indoors since the start of school. We plan to go plein air painting every Wednesday morning from now. Were also trying to get more people to come with us and add to the fun.

messing around

This is the image I originally wanted to do for the scratch board project. I wanted a more graphic approach and distinctive line angles to emphasize the movement in the figure. I whipped it out in a few hours, it was very fun and I felt very confident placing my lines. Maybe scratchboard is a media for me? maybe not, I dont know, but I will continue to play with it.
